These past few days gave me a chance to do something I haven't done seriously for a long time. Performance tuning.

There are so many aspects to testing performance in enterprise apps, and web apps are not vastly different. Bandwidth, memory consumption, query optimization, session management and preallocation of resources, and most important - caching, are the tools used to tune every app.
